After many hours spent searching I found a magnificent chubby cowrie shell and a perfect little chunky pebble on the beaches in St Andrews Bay. We carefully made moulds from them and cast them in solid silver. The results are outstanding!

Cowrie shells are very special - for tens of thousands of years they were used as currency across the world and signify prosperity, fertility and luck. Finding a perfect one in St Andrews took many months but this one just presented itself to me on one of the tiny beaches along from the harbour in early September 2024. Simply put, it is a little nugget of joy. I picked up hundreds of pebbles before I found this perfect little one - it compliments the cowrie shell perfectly.

Strung on an 18” silver belcher chain they makes a wonderful reminder of one of Scotland’s best towns - a fantastic gift for anyone that loves St Andrews ❤️
